Chelthenham, England - September 28, 2015

Hey everyone!

This week was so good! We had some big miracles happen in the district with two baptisms for the elders. Our investigators are still doing alright and progressing so we are happy about that. This week is sad because I am most likely leaving with transfers being on Wednesday. I have been in this area for six months but still I want to stay another transfer! I love it so much! I'm going to miss the people here. Since I have been here so long i've made some serious friendships. We are already planning vacations together after I get back to Wyoming Ok hand signSmiling face with open mouth and smiling eyes one to South Africa and then one they will come to America to visit me haha! Hope that can actually happen one day because I love them so much!  I'll attach a picture of the ysa girls that are talking about the holidays. One is a recent convert and the other is an investigator that is about to get baptised. I'm seriously gutted that I will most likely be leaving Cheltenham. I'll let you all know next week where I end up. Sister Selwa is really nervous to get a new companion. I will mis training her. She is such a boss! She doesn't need me at all but
we still don't want to be separated haha Face savoring delicious food today we are having district pday. We went to a bowling alley and played pool, then elder coral is making us all lunch since he is Italian and a super good cook. Then we are going to a park to play football and volleyball and ultimate frisbee. It'll be so fun! England is great! The people are amazing! I love it so much! Hope everyone has a fantastic week, love you all!

Cheltenham, England - September 21, 2015

Hey everyone!

Sorry for no email last week! It's been pretty busy!

This week has been pretty good. A little bit slower than usual, but still not bad. We are working with some awesome people and seeing huge miracles with them. Please pray for them!

But this week we had a meeting to follow up with training sister Selwa so that took up basically all of Wednesday. It was really good to hear from president and sister Leppard :) they are just the best! I love them so much! Honestly they are the most warm people I ever met and really are just like parents out here.

For p day we had some investigators and recent converts come to the church and chill with us all day. We played volleyball and basketball and football so it was pretty awesome. Then I learned how to play cricket. My first reaction was to hold it up like a baseball bat! Haha yeah I was really bad at it, I think baseball seriously does jive better with Americans :)

Well thanks everyone for all the prayers! Can really feel them out here! Love you!

Love,

Sister Rasmussen :)

Cheltenham, England - September 7, 2015

Hiya everyone!

So this week has been fairly decent haha :) no, it really has been good. Some hard points but some way sweet points which count ten times more than the hard parts. So last Monday it was a bank holiday here which means football!! Well soccer for you guys :) it was so much fun because it was a down pour which made the field pretty muddy. The only thing was I was the only one without cleats so I was sliding everywhere on the wet grass while everyone else could actually getsome grip. It was a lot of fun though. Then Tuesday we had a special zone meeting with just our zone and President Leppard. He is such a great man! Seriously one of the best people I've ever met. He taught us about the Sabbath and church attendance and it was amazing! He challenged all of us to be the first ones to bear our testimonies specifically on our Saviour to set the tone for the meeting in the ward where we are serving, therefore causing the Spirit to be abundant :) as there are six missionaries in the Cheltenham ward it was one after the other in the meeting. It was a really special sacrament meeting though and I have to say it was really a spiritual experience for me. I'm so grateful for the sacrament, it is one thing I have grown to love on my mission. Many times have I gotten to sacrament meeting and my testimony has been enlarged ten fold because of it :) anyway we got a new mission leader in the ward and he is super nervous for this calling. He will do a great job and has no need to worry. His
name is Brother Giles. We had some fun district finding this week when we did white board finding. It's where you write a question on a big white board and have lots of markers for people to come write their answers on the board. Sounds silly, but it seriously was successful! Found the coolest people :) this district is awesome and super tight. Makes it so fun to do things like this. It was just one hour in the day and it made a big difference in our key indicator numbers and in district unity :) Friday we did service for a disabled lady in the ward and she made us lunch. We do this every Friday which is good because she is a really good cook! Then Saturday we did white board finding again and had lunch as a district. Sunday was an amazing fast and testimony meeting! Super spiritual and boy did it feel great! Well hope you all have a great week! Love you! :)

Cheltenham, England - August 31, 2015

Hey everyone! :)

Things are going well here in good old England. This week was a little up and down. Sister Selwa and I have been struggling a little to find new investigators. We were trying to figure out what was different that people weren't committing to an appointment this week. Tried hitting the pavement a little bit harder and still nothing. It finally came to Friday and after having low numbers all week and a couple investigators not progressing like we wanted we were feeling kinda low. That evening before I went to bed I prayed probably the most sincerely and most earnestly I ever have. In return I also had one of the most spiritual experiences and testimony builders from that prayer! The Lord is so great! I am super thankful that I am able to be here in Cheltenham and serve Him. Our Heavenly Father is closely watching over all of us. Closer than we think for sure. He is not just some ruler up in the sky, He is our Father- kind, merciful, and above all loving. Let's all make sure when we talk to him through prayer, we are talking to him as our Friend, Loved One and Father. I promise that as you do this you will feel so much closer to Him. Your relationship will strengthen immensely, and isn't that what we all want? I know mine took a huge leap forward this week when I was 100% genuine in my prayers. What a blessing! Love you!
