Cardiff, Wales - March 7, 2016

Hey everyone so this week was pretty crazy. It was pretty tough. We had cancelled appointments, flat bike tires, got spit on, got rubbish thrown at us, went to druggy houses, and my shoes broke. But in spite of all this we had some if the coolest miracles of my mission! So We are teaching this girl named Nancy from Zambia. Well she was pretty hard hearted and so my companion and I had a very bold lesson with her where we told her we love talking to her, but we are hear to teach the restored gospel and if she isn't that interested then we can't keep teaching her. The Spirit was so strong in that lesson and she really opened up. Ever since then her heart has softened a ton. And  just last night she asked us if she could be baptised sooner than the date we had set for her! Apparently she had gotten an answer at church because she felt the Spirit pretty strongly. We are so excited for her! So God is providing some tender mercies, for sure :) and then we are working with this recent convert, Lisa, who doesn't have a testimony of the temple at all, but she said she wants to go and is working towards it now! And then Moein brought his friend to a lesson and it was so powerful. So he is already doing missionary work! So that made the rest of the week all worth it! :) We were seriously blessed. It goes to show how aware of all of us that Heavenly Father is and how much He loves us. I am seriously grateful for His hand in my life!

Well love you all! Have an amazing week!

Love,

Sister Rasmussen

100 day Happy Challenge:
1. Got subway for lunch on Monday!
2. Sister Larsen and I found a shopping cart so I pushed her down the street in it! We had to make finding fun, right? :)
3. Got a selfie with a random guy on the street. He was pretty nice! His name is Alan.
4. So this crazy lady was dancing in the street so we thought, hey let's talk to her. Then we got a picture haha :) her name is Alitha!
5. When you have a hard week what do you do? Get Ben and Jerry's!
6. Missionary Moein (wearing my tag and everything). With Lisa and his friend Farzot.
7. We got bored so we braided our hair together and laughed so hard!

Cardiff, Wales - February 29, 2016

What a crazy week! Moein got baptised and he was so happy to finally be a member. He saw how Ahdi had changed at her baptism and desired to feel it for himself and now he has! Yesterday when he got confirmed he sat down and said to me, "I can feel it!" It was amazing! Moein is going to do wonders for this ward. He has such a strong testimony about the atonement already and he is excited to receive the priesthood soon! 😀

Moeins baptism was definitely the highlight of my week. We also have been doing a lot of service for the Bakers. They are moving/did move. Sister Baker is sad about the move because she loved her old house but this new house is fantastic! It's so nice! I would love to live in their new house. It's got a big yard and a summer home in the back and everything! They said they are going to have a BBQ in the summer. That will be fun (:

Seriously there is no joy like seeing someone follow Jesus Christ!! Oh boy, it just made me sooooo happy! We really focused this week on making the baptism as close to perfect as we could for him and for the ward. And then you know what, the ward really responded! They said they loved the baptism and the Spirit that they felt there! And then a bunch of people invited us to dinner. We have five da's this week! We have never had any where near that many in this area. A lot of the members told us that they liked the baptism and could tell that it was run by sisters which made us feel good. It was a total miracle! And we have two chances to do service this week!! We are finally getting the ward on our side. Oh my goodness it is such a great blessing from the Lord. Just goes to show that good preparation makes all the difference. I am just so excited! It was a great week and Heavenly Father is definitely sending His blessings.

Well have a great week! Love you all!

P. S. I am doing a "100 day happy challenge" where I take a picture every day of something that makes me happy. So there should be a lot of pictures coming! Hope you like them!

Pictures of things I am happy about:
1. All the daffodils are coming up. These are everywhere in Wales!
2. That we get to talk to people along the prettiest river ever! I love this area!
3. The sun was shining and it was actually warm for a change!
4. This restaurant is named after my nickname of what all our investigators call me since no one can pronounce Rasmussen haha
5. Again that we get to serve in the most beautiful place ever!
6. Moein got baptised!
7. We get to have fun and do the most random things as missionaries!
