Cardiff, Wales - January 25, 2016

Hey everyone!

So this week was amazing because.....AHDI GOT BAPTISED!!! It was awesome! She was so happy through the whole thing. A bunch of her family came to watch so that was good. They are really supportive of her. After the baptism her brother took us and the whole family out to eat. It was so fun! They are a big, crazy, loud, Iranian family so it was a party! We really want to go teach the rest of her family because they are some of the nicest people ever! And the brother that took us out to eat really wants to learn. He is Jehovah's Witness but says he has changed his mind lately and is looking for something. He is going on holiday soon and he told us he has to have a Book of Mormon by then
so that he can read it during all his free time haha 😀 what a champ!

So after the baptism when we were walking to the restaurant there were some Jehovah's Witness missionaries on the street and so Ahdi's brother knew them and started talking to them. Ahdi used to go to the Kingdom Hall with her brother so they recognised her and asked why she didn't come anymore. She said strait away, "Because I am Mormon!"Hahaha #Score #ProudestMomentOfMyLife Thumbs up sign it was so funny. I just love her! She is already proclaiming the truth and she had only been baptised for about an hour!

This week went pretty well with teaching people. We saw some of the coolest people ever. I love when they have real, sincere questions and they are looking for answers. I feel like a lot of the people we are teaching right now are like that. Which is a huge blessing from Heavenly Father! I just pray we will be able to help them find what they are searching for because honestly I love every single one of these people and don't want to let them down. But really if we trust in the Spirit and follow His promptings then it will all work out perfectly!

So funny story...sister Larsen didn't have any breaks on her bike. She kept having to put her feet down to stop. Well this one time we were on the sidewalk and it was a little bit of a decline we were going down, but nothing too big. Well she tried to put her feet down to slow down but she couldn't get it to stop. So she just kept going! Well at the bottom of this decline was a big bush. She tried and tried to stop but couldn't and so she ran in to the bush flipped over her handle bars and landed a couple feet away stuck in the bush! Hahaha it was soooo funny! I died laughing!! Oh my goodness it was the best thing ever! And when she got up there were two big dents in the bush where her bike had landed and where she landed haha 🌳🚴🏻 good thing it wasa soft landing I guess!

Sister Larsen and I also got matching 'friends' sweats and t shirts since we figured out we both love that to show!

Well I love you all! Have a great week!!

Love,

Sister Rasmussen

Cardiff, Wales - January 11, 2016

Hey everyone!

This week was pretty good, just a normal week in the mission. We taught quite a few people so that was awesome! We are going to work on working with the ward more this week because this ward isn't very excited about missionary work. So just a lot of trying to help the members and help them to see the blessings and results of missionary work.

What up? This is elder Herbert this sisters district leader up in this joint lol well she said that she didn't know what to write so I took over. Just to let y'all know that she is a great missionary and it's
nice being able to talk country with her. For I'm from New Mexico. And I'm a Lamanite. So I'm like a country boy native hahah but yeah so I hope that you send her more beef jerk.... I miss beef jerky haha well I think this is all I have the thought to write. But hey I took up room yo welcome sister ras-ras... Thumbs up sign🏼Victory handOk hand signGhost

This is sister Rasmussen again. Haha well not much went on this week. Sister Larsen was sick on Tuesday. Other than that it was just teaching, finding and yeah pretty much it. Sorry this isn't the most exciting email. But love you all!

Love,

Sister Rasmussen

Cardiff, Wales - December 28, 2015

Hey everyone!

So getting to Skype home was awesome! So glad I could talk to so much of my family! You all sounded super American haha Winking face it was weird because while I was skyping I realised really how little time I have left on the mission. 5 months isn't a long time at all!  Christmas was good though. We woke up and opened our presents which was amazing. Thank you to those who sent me something, I really appreciate it! Then we went to the carol service that the church had. It was only about 45 minutes long so then we went to a single sister's house. She was really sweet and got us both scarfs that are way warm! Yay! And then we hung out there for a while and had lunch. Then that evening we were supposed to go to an investigators house for dinner but he lives alone so we couldn't go unless we had another female with us and we could never find anyone that was free so we couldn't go in the end. It was sad, but he was awesome and brought us what he had made so it ended up being good. He is an awesome cook! He made us some delicious Nigerian food! Then we went over to the relief society presidents house to Skype that evening. So it was a solid day!

So on Christmas Eve we had a zone meeting for all the missionaries around Cardiff and such. It was so much fun! We had this huge competition between districts. We had races and skits and an egg toss
and a dance off and so it was way sweet! And guess what?!?! We won!!! It was sweet! We got little trophies and everything Princess🏼Trophy then we didn't have a dinner appointment that night so we went back to the flat and made a bunch of junk food, played random games, and built a fort by the Christmas tree which we slept in. So it was a great night 😀

For Boxing Day we went to the bishops house for lunch. Then we went to my favourite members in this area. Their name is the Rushworths. They are the cutest couple ever! They are sadly moving soon Tired face but hopefully we will have dinner with them again before they leave. But then the rest of our week was pretty normal.

Well I love you all! Have a great week and happy New Years!

Sister Rasmussen
